Wine.com furthers longstanding support of the Sonoma State Wine Business Institute

At a February wine industry conference held at Sonoma State University, Wine.com and IMI Agency presented a $20,000 gift to the Wine Industry Scholars Program (WISP) to support future wine industry leaders. This gift funds two four-year scholarships – each providing $2,500 annually – to deserving Sonoma State students who have family members in the wine industry.

Since 2017, Wine.com has consistently supported WISP, helping expand access to education and opportunities for students who are the first in their families to attend college.

Wine.com has been hosting its annual conference for wine producers and industry affiliates at SSU since 2018. The event drew an impressive audience, with over 250 in-person attendees and 150 virtual participants, including leaders in wine commerce and production as well as experts from around the world. Among the featured speakers was SSU alumnus Anthony Zraly (MBA), who reflected on how his education at Sonoma State shaped his career and shared insights into the evolving landscape of the wine business.

The founder of Wine.com, Michael Osborn, has been a dedicated supporter of SSU’s Wine Business Institute and serves on its Board of Directors. Wine.com's ongoing contributions and Osborn’s industry leadership provide students with essential resources, scholarships, and opportunities to thrive in the evolving wine industry.
